The payee name (BT-59) must be provided in the invoice if the payee (BG-10) is different from the seller (BG-4). The official message has no trailing period. The published test requires a payee party name, and it requires that name and the payee party identifier to differ from the seller. The test keeps a single space before the closing parenthesis.
Provide a payee name (BT-59) that differs from the seller name, and a payee party identifier that differs from the seller party identifier.
Illustration of the condition in the official statement. Not an example published by the source.
Fails the stated condition. The payee party has no name, or the payee name matches the seller, or the payee party identifier matches the seller.
Passes the stated condition. The payee party has a name, that name differs from the seller, and the payee party identifier differs from the seller.
